The New York Giants received devastating news after learning quarterback Jaxson Dart would miss the remainder of the season following a brutal injury.
While the Giants are expected to keep backup Jameis Winston as Dart's replacement despite a poor showing against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football, some folks have other ideas. ESPN's Stephen A. Smith, for example, argued that the right move is an external transaction not internal promotion.
According to Smith, he would recommend the Cleveland Browns backup to Deshaun Watson.

Smith said that Winston is not the answer despite the relatively recent two-year, $13 million extension.
While on ESPN's broadcast, Smith argued that Winston is too mistake-prone to step in for Dart this season.
The former Colorado standout is not currently starting at quarterback as Cleveland has given the shot-calling responsibilities under center back to Watson, but the Giants would have to trade for Sanders to get him on the roster.
It unclear what, if they're willing to part with him at all, Cleveland would seek in return from New York should the Giants and Browns come to an agreement.
