The Connor Hellebuyck trade rumors have, predictably, heated up big time on Friday with the Winnipeg Jets' suspension ending. And there's one team in the running, per reports.
It turns out that the New Jersey Devils -- who Nico Daws and veteran Jake Allen as the backstops this season -- are negotiating with the Jets for the American superstar. No word on return yet, seems like it's still in the works: Multiple reports say the Devils are "closing in," and ESPN's Emily Kaplan said this: "As of this weekend, Winnipeg felt it had terrible offers for the goalie but things seemed to have progressed last night. Believe Jets have been focused on scorers in return."
