The Indianapolis Colts are tearing it all down ahead of the 2026 NFL trade deadline in a couple of weeks, with deals for DeForest Buckner (to the 49ers) and offensive lineman Quenton Nelson (to the Seahawks). It's possible that others like running back Jonathan Taylor or wideout Josh Downs could be on the trade block, too.
And all of this is the best news for... the New York Jets. That's because the franchise owns the Colts' 2027 first-round pick, which is now projected to be inside the top 10. And if the Colts keep giving away talent and tank, that pick might be even more valuable. The selection came from the Sauce Gardner trade a year ago, and the Colts might regret that one.
Plus, the Jets have the Dallas Cowboys' first-rounder for next year.
Sick.
If the NFL draft were held today, the New York Jets currently would hold the 6th, 9th and 11th overall selections.

Could the Jets use that draft capital to grab their quarterback of the future? It's possible. There's a lot of football left to play, though. We'll see!
