Among the notable injuries in Week 2 of the 2026 NFL season, the Denver Broncos were dealt a scare when running back J.K. Dobbins exited the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars with a hamstring injury. Given that fellow running back RJ Harvey was inactive for the game due to a hamstring injury, there was obvious concern about the status of both players heading into Monday.
However, it appears Dobbins' injury wasn't serious, and there may be cause for optimism that he'll be able to suit up against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday night in Week 3. As Ringer's Tom Pelissero first reported, a source said that Dobbins' hamstring injury is "good."

Although Dobbins finished Week 1 with just eight carries for 36 yards, he had already carved out a big role on Sunday against the Jaguars before leaving in the second half. Dobbins had 10 carries before the injury, and we're going to break down the latest fantasy football outlook following this update.
Fantasy impact of J.K. Dobbins' latest injury update
This is a tough spot for fantasy football owners, given that Dobbins and Harvey both saw work in Week 1. If Harvey were to miss another game, it'd suggest Dobbins could be in line for an expanded role, if he's able to play.
However, until there's an update on either player, the waiver wire ahead of Week 3 is somewhat tricky. Rookie running back Jonah Coleman finished Sunday's game with 10 carries for 39 yards and one touchdown, so if there are indications that Dobbins and/or Harvey could miss Week 3, it obviously makes sense to try to add him.
One very important thing to note is that Dobbins' Week 1 numbers in the loss to the Kansas City Chiefs were likely down due to the game flow, as the Broncos lost 31-10 and trailed by double digits for most of the second half. While Dobbins only had eight carries, Harvey tallied just three but was a bigger factor in the passing game, with four catches for 23 yards.
Dobbins still looks primed to be the team's top option in the ground game, but if the Broncos fall behind by a decent margin, that could significantly limit his fantasy upside. Regardless, for the immediate future, keep a close eye on Dobbins, and Harvey updates to monitor the potential to add Coleman.
