Kenneth Walker's Chiefs debut was so jaw-dropping it hasn't been done since Bo Jackson

Welcome to the Kenneth Walker III era

of Kansas City Chiefs football. The former Seattle Seahawks running back began his tenure alongside Patrick Mahomes and company on Monday night with a dominant performance in a 31-10 victory over the Denver Broncos. From start to finish, Walker looked worth every bit of the three-year, $43 million contract he signed with the Chiefs this offseason, and finished with such a dominant night that it wrapped up in a fashion that we haven't seen since Bo Jackson.

To start, Walker outgained the entire Broncos offense in total yards on Monday night, finishing with 191 (173 rushing and 18 receiving), while Denver finished with 176 yards on offense. He also scored more points alone than the Broncos (14 vs. 10) and was

so all-around dominant that his final stat line was last achieved by Jackson on November 30, 1987, as OptaSTATS highlighted.

Walker became the first player since Jackson to:

• Total 150-plus rushing yards
• Score a 60-plus-yard touchdown
• Have a receiving touchdown
• Finish with more total net yards than the opposing team
• Score more points than the opposing team

It wasn't just a dominant performance from Walker; it was excellent on a scale almost never seen. Considering no player has done what Walker did on Monday night in almost 39 years, it's fair to say the 25-year-old running back had one of the most exceptional debuts for a new team we've ever seen.
