It's been an up-and-down season for Aaron Rodgers, but Pat Freiermuth has been a constant throughout it all. The sixth-year tight end is third on the team in both targets and receptions, providing Rodgers a security blanket in the short to intermediate game.
With DK Metcalf wildly inconsistent thus far, Freiermuth's contributions have been absolutely necessary for Mike McCarthy's offense to function. The Steelers are also coming off their best offensive showing of the season in a 30-27 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Steelers are playing Thursday Night Football against the Cleveland Browns this week, so here's what to do with Freiermuth in fantasy lineups.
Should you start or sit Pat Freiermuth tonight?
Freiermuth is a sit in 10-team leagues or smaller, and a risky start in 12-team leagues.
His snaps have dropped each game, going from 73% to 66% to 60% over the first three weeks. Darnell Washington, a far superior blocker, outsnapped Freiermuth in Week 3 and Jaylen Warren responded with 127 rushing yards. It wouldn't be shocking to see Pittsburgh keep rolling with Washington and the run game considering how well it all worked against Cincinnati.
