Everything is still in front of the reigning Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks. In the grand scheme of things, there's nothing that says they can't repeat and hoist the Lombardi Trophy again this February.
But for now, they have to weather a storm of sorts with their offensive backfield.
Veteran runner Zach Charbonnet is still unavailable while ramping up from a torn ACL suffered during last year's playoffs. Meanwhile, the Seahawks' hopeful running back of the future, Jadarian Price, is currently on injured reserve as he recovers from a chest injury that he aggravated during practice. There's a reason the Seahawks were reportedly in on signing Joe Mixon before they eventually backed out.
It is Price's status in particular that should come into
focus for Seattle with the expected big role everyone thought he would have this season. Given his placement on injured reserve in early October, the earliest Price can return is around Halloween/slash early November because he has to be on injured reserve for a minimum of four weeks. He will obviously miss Sunday's home matchup with the San Francisco 49ers.
As it stands, the Seahawks will have to learn how to survive without Price for a little while:

A lot of the Seahawks' offensive plans for the future centered on building around Price. We'll see how they fare for basically the length of October without being able to utilize him.
Who is the Seahawks' starting running back now?
Emanuel Wilson is listed as the Seahawks' starting running back on their current depth chart. The 27-year-old veteran has 53 carries for 190 yards and a touchdown entering the game with the 49ers.
