Today's slate of games get started with the early action in Madrid between the Bengals and Falcons and ends with a Sunday night matchup involving maybe the best team in the NFC, the Chicago Bears, taking on the Buccaneers.
Out of those four teams, there's at least three with serious firepower to lean on for anytime touchdown predictions -- maybe all four if the Bucs ever find a rhythm in their passing attack.
But the picks aren't as simple for the games taking place in between those bookend matchups. So allow me to help with anytime touchdown scorer predictions for each game on the Week 9 slate.
Cincinnati Bengals vs. Atlanta Falcons (Spain)
Kyle Pitts (+230)
Tight ends haven't scored a touchdown against Cincy this year, so I understand why the boom-or-bust Pitts might seem like a curious decision
here. But Pitts was riding a three-game scoring streak before last week's dud, and the Bengals actually give up the fourth-most catches and second-most yards to tight ends on the season. This is a good week for one of those catches to find the end zone.
Denver Broncos at Carolina Panthers
Chuba Hubbard (-110)
One week after leading the Panthers with a season-high seven catches, Hubbard gets a Broncos defense that has allowed the most receiving yardage to running backs this season. If he doesn't punch it in on the ground, he should have opportunities as a pass catcher too.
Dallas Cowboys at Indianapolis Colts
Jonathan Taylor (-140)
I like both running backs to score in this contest but went Taylor over Javonte Williams (-200) because of the shorter odds. I will admit, however, Williams is a safer pick due to the potential for Dallas to get ahead and force Indy into passing siutations.
New York Jets at Kansas City Chiefs
Rashee Rice (+130)
Rice caught his first touchdown since Week 1 in his return to KC's lineup last week, and he has another good matchup to potentially start his first scoring streak of the season.
Detroit Lions at Miami Dolphins
Malik Washington (+250)
We know how vulnerable Detroit's defense can be. Add to that a seven-point spread that projects a pass-heavy game script for Miami, and Washington should be considered a big threat to score for the second straight game.
Cleveland Browns at New Orleans Saints
Quinshon Judkins (+100)
Cleveland will likely lean on the run a lot with Deshaun Watson sidelined. And while that doesn't guarantee better success than they've had past games, it should give Judkins more opportunities to score than he had in last week's loss to Pittsburgh.
New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles
Malik Nabers (+155)
Cam Skattebo (+120) is a good pick too. But anytime you can take a top-flight wideout like Nabers against a defense that has allowed the second-most yards to the position and tied for the third-most touchdowns allowed, you do it.
Los Angeles Rams at Washington Commanders
Puka Nacua (-118)
All Davante Adams's injury did was ensure Matthew Stafford looks Nacua's way even more. With three touchdowns in his last four games, he's one of the players I feel best about in Week 9.
Houston Texans at Los Angeles Chargers
Woody Marks (+100)
Marks actually hasn't scored since taking over for the injured David Montgomery, but he is at least averaging more than 16 carries over the last three games. It would be surprising for him not to score against a Chargers defense that has allowed a touchdown to running backs in five straight games, including four over the last two games alone.
Las Vegas Raiders at San Francisco 49ers
George Kittle (-130)
With the Niners still banged up at receiver, Brock Purdy could lean on George Kittle again after the two connected on eight passes for 88 yards last week. And they should find great success against a Raiders defense that has allowed eight touchdowns to tight ends.
Green Bay Packers at New England Patriots
Rhamondre Stevenson (-135)
Stevenson found decent success as New England's lead back last week with TreVeyon Henderson out. This is a good opportunity for him to build on that and score his fourth touchdown of the last six games.
Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks
Zach Charbonnet
Both Seattle backs should see the field a lot with Drew Lock in for Sam Darnold. But Charbonnet was slightly more effective last week and utilized more as a pass catcher, so I expect him to see the most scoring opportunities.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Chicago Bears (Sunday Night Football)
Colston Loveland (+165)
Loveland's two-game scoring streak ended last week, but it wasn't because Caleb Williams didn't throw him the ball. He caught seven passes for the second straight week and has a combined 20 catches and two touchdowns over the last three games, with at least 65 yards in each. Tampa is a good matchup for him to keep it up.
