So, who's playing quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night? Joe Fagnano? Welp, RIP to the chances of any Ravens receiver to score.
That's not to say the undrafted UConn product definitely won't throw a touchdown in his first career start. But you're a lot bolder than me if you're betting on it.
The focus of tonight's game for me is entirely on the Jacksonville Jaguars side, with an offense averaging the NFL's fifth-most points going against an already shaky defense that may see the field to the point of exhaustion if Fagnano can't get anything going. These are my favorite anytime touchdown scorer picks for Jaguars-Ravens.
Bhayshul Tuten (-105)
Tuten is a game-time decision, so be ready to pivot if he can't go. However, if he does play, ride the hot hand.
Tuten has four touchdowns over his last two games after scoring just twice through the first five. He's unlikely to gash the Ravens in the same way he did the Colts in last week's 104-yard performance, but they do give up toucdhowns.
Brenton Strange (+230)
If I were to go wide receiver, it'd actually be Jakobi Meyers (+250), who has an equal number of targets as Parker Washington (+145) over the last two games but a potentially better matchup against Baltimore's outside corners. But realistically, Strange will benefit most from the attention on those receivers, and Baltimore has allowed four touchdowns to tight ends over the last four weeks.
Chris Rodriguez Jr. (-118)
Aside from the fact Rodriguez might end up Jacksonville's primary back with Tuten banged up, I like his chances to score because, as mentioned above, the Jaguars are big favorites. He might end up the primary back by default if they build up a lead and go to a run-heavy game script. That should give Rodriguez a chance to build on his best two-game stretch of the season and score a second straight week.
