Monday night in Seattle will mark not only Jeffery Simmons' highly anticipated Chicago Bears debut, but also the first time some people are introduced to the mammoth All-Pro defensive tackle.
So, for those of you who don't know, Simmons likes wearing double bright-colored sleeves whenever he plays. When he was still a member of the Tennessee Titans, this meant wearing Titans red on both of his arms. With the Bears, Simmons will wear orange-colored sleeves. It's a flashy but memorable signature look for one of the NFL's premier defensive players.
But to clear things up, Simmons' bright sleeves look has nothing to do with trying to be flashy.
As Simmons explained during his first Bears press conference last week, Simmons wore a bright red undershirt
during Titans' games so his 3-year-old daughter could see him better. That's such an awesome dad move:
Simmons said he wore the red long-sleeve undershirt so his daughter could pick him out on the field easier. Already got an orange sleeve picked out. https://t.co/nOIO5IB6i5

On Monday night, and as a Bears player in general, Simmons will be wearing a bright orange undershirt (for the Bears' colors) for the same beautiful reason.
