The newest Spider-Man entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, hits theaters on Friday. It's an emotional journey into Peter Parker's life after everyone he knew forgot him following Doctor Strange's spell at the end of 2019's No Way Home.
Parker's best friends Ned (Jacob Batalon) and MJ (Zendaya) are back, living life in New York after graduating from MIT. The story also brings Frank Castle's Punisher (Jon Bernthal) into the mix, and introduces a new character (played by Sadie Sink) as an antagonist that Spider-Man has to figure out.
This is the toughest test for Spider-Man both emotionally and physically, and he takes a beating in this movie.
But does Spider-Man die in Brand New Day?
Warning: Spoilers for Spider-Man:
Brand New Day follow!
No, thanks to Sink's Jean Grey, Spider-Man lived to see another day. The X-Men icon used her powers to jump into Parker after he took a bullet for her, breathing for him until he could do it on his own. The Punisher was the one to fire the shot, intending to hit Grey and stop her from holding a portion of the city hostage with her telepathy.
Castle stayed by Peter's bedside until he was well enough to leave the hospital, helping him escape the crowds by donning the mask and waving to the fans waiting outside.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is in theaters now.
