New York Jets wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. is reportedly landing on injured reserve after his first NFL game. The first-round pick out of Indiana sustained an ankle sprain against the Tennessee Titans, and after failing to practice all week, he'll hit IR and miss at least the next four games.
It's not expected to be an extended absence for Cooper, as ESPN's Rich Cimini reports he'll likely return once he's eligible to play again Oct. 18 against the New England Patriots.
Cooper had a 30-yard catch-and-run on the Jets' opening possession and didn't play another snap. Fellow rookie Kenyon Sadiq capped off the drive with New York's first touchdown of the season, and with Cooper out, the first-round tight end will likely see more targets.

Here's how the Jets' receiver corps could shake out with Cooper missing the next month.
Updated Jets depth chart with Omar Cooper Jr. hitting IR
WRs: Garrett Wilson, Adonai Mitchell, Isaiah Williams, Arian Smith
Wilson is the clear No. 1, so nothing changes there. Mitchell, meanwhile, could become a bigger part of the offense. The former Indianapolis Colt played 69% of the Jets' snaps in Week 1, finishing with three catches for 60 yards. A big play threat, Mitchell has the ability to produce double-digit fantasy points in a single play, and since he'll be starting going forward, his floor is higher than you'd expect too. Mitchell is a viable FLEX in deeper leagues.
