The New England Patriots have an effective thunder and lightning tailback platoon between Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson. Between them, they've combined for more than 300 rushing yards through four weeks. But on Sunday, head coach Mike Vrabel may have lost his lightning.
Henderson left the second quarter of his Week 5 showdown with the Las Vegas Raiders after only four carries and one catch. An ankle injury suffered after an 11-yard game led the team trainers onto the field and the second-year running back to the locker room, where he was soon joined by starting left tackle Will Campbell (knee injury).
Updates have been sparse about his condition in the moments since. Here's what we know so far.
Will TreVeyon Henderson return in Week 5?
He's officially questionable, but headed
to the locker room before halftime paints a pessimistic picture of his immediate future. The Patriots' training staff will have the break to give him a proper assessment and determine if he's capable to take the field in the third quarter.
Patriots injury announcements: LT Will Campbell (knee) and RB TreVeyon Henderson (ankle). Technically questionable to return, but both are in the locker room.

Which running back will step up if Henderson is out an extended stretch?
Stevenson will pick up the bulk of the carries. He'll be supplemented by Corey Kiner, for whom the Patriots traded in the preseason. Kiner has 14 carries for only 29 yards and a brutal 21.1 percent success rate this season.
