New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone had some news to share about three-time AL MVP winner Aaron Judge before the upcoming postseason begins.
Judge, who suffered a right calf injury on September 16 against the Minnesota Twins
and was placed on the 10-day injury list, reportedly has a "moderate grade" strain. The Yankees begin a must-sweep four-game series against the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday if they hope for any chance to win the AL East.Otherwise, however, New York has already clinched a wild card berth and would likely play against the rival Boston Red Sox. While the organization is not ruling out his return, per Boone, they are not expecting Judge on the field in that three-game series.

Judge reportedly received a PPP injection to aid with his recovery on Monday.
If the standings finish at present placements, the Yankees would host the Red Sox for a best-of-three series. New York has a losing record below .500 without Judge playing at home in 2026.
