Celine Dion returned to the stage as headliner on Saturday night, kicking off an impressive 26-show residency in Paris, France. It has been six years since the "My Heart Will Go On" singer has performed a full concert, with Dion dealing with issues stemming from both COVID-19 and her stiff-person syndrome diagnosis.
Dion was understandably overcome with emotions early into her performance, shedding tears just moments into hr opening song as she looked out into the crowd. She started the concert with “On Ne Change Pas” in French. The five-time Grammy winner wiped tears from her eyes and gestured with gratitude to all those in attendance before continuing on.

Later in the concert, Dion addressed her fans about making her return to the stage. "I made a promise. I made a promise to come back, to be back on stage," Dion stated. "So here I am, singing for you and singing for me, singing life!"
Her next show at Plenitude Arena (formerly Paris La Defense Arena) is Wednesday, September 16.
