The Arizona Cardinals gave Jeremiyah Love a questionable injury designation Friday as the third overall pick of this year's draft continued to work his way back from the high-ankle sprain he suffered Aug. 13, but it appears the rookie running back will be ready to go Sunday.
Love is expected to play in the team's Week 1 opener against the Los Angeles Chargers, ESPN's Josh Weinfuss reported Friday, news that will make his many fantasy managers (and surprisingly many Cards bettors) happy.
Love's status may not be confirmed until game-time, Weinfuss wrote, but Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur said "he's trending well."
Should Jeremiyah Love start in fantasy?
It's unclear what type of workload Love will receive, but if he's healthy enough to play, he should be good enough to start in fantasy.
If anything, his recent injury adds more value to backup running back Tyler Allgeier.
