The calendar is about to turn to November as we've reached the rough midpoint of the 2026 NFL season, and we're set for another strong slate of games in Week 8.
It begins with an NFC matchup between teams trying to bounce back from division losses as the Packers host the Panthers in Thursday Night Football. On Sunday, we have a critical AFC North showdown between the Steelers and Browns while another team from that division — the Baltimore Ravens — looks to get a win against the Buffalo Bills with Lamar Jackson set to potentially return.
Elsewhere in the AFC, the Broncos host the Chiefs in another crucial divisional game, while the NFC is headlined by an NFC North showdown between the Lions and Vikings. On Sunday night, the Commanders look for
a win against an injury-plagued Eagles squad, while the Bears hit the road to face the defending champion Seahawks in Monday Night Football.
Our panel of experts is back to give you picks against the spread for every matchup on the Week 8 slate.

Carolina Panthers at Green Bay Packers (Thursday Night Football)
Opening Line: Packers -7
Grimes: Panthers +4
While I never fully bought into the Panthers, they're not as bad as they looked against Tampa.
Curtis: Packers -4.
The Panthers took a step back last week, and I can't trust them in a short week on the road.
Zeglinski: Packers -4
This is a terrible spot for a Carolina team that just self-combusted against a rival. I could easily see a multi-touchdown win for the Packers at home.
D'Andrea: Packers -4
Green Bay is going to be playing angry after 60 minutes of shooting itself in the foot last week.
Nettuno: Packers -4
Pretty hard to trust the Panthers on the road after what happened last week.
Las Vegas Raiders at New York Jets
Opening Line: Raiders -1.5
Grimes: Jets +1.5
Give me the home team in a matchup of bads.
Curtis: Jets +1.5
Raiders coming East, Jets looking feistier by the day... give me the points!
Zeglinski: Jets +1.5
West Coast team playing an early afternoon game ain't good. Aaron Glenn shrugs off the critics ... for a week.
D'Andrea: Jets +1.5
I don't like betting on either team, but take the home side getting points.
Nettuno: Jets +1.5
Klint Kubiak may change his tune about Fernando Mendoza after a loss to the Jets.
Arizona Cardinals at Dallas Cowboys
Opening Line: Cowboys -10.5
Grimes: Cardinals +7
Dallas should win, but that defense still isn't fixed.
Curtis: Cowboys -7
The points look kind of good here, but the Cowboys offense will feast at home.
Zeglinski: Cowboys -7
We're due for a little Cowboys winning streak. Don't worry, they'll faceplant again soon.
D'Andrea: Cowboys -7
Dak Prescott's offense can do enough to keep the Cardinals at bay, though garbage time worries me.
Nettuno: Cowboys -7
Dallas' offense should be good enough to win by at least a touchdown plus one point.
Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Opening Line: Buccaneers -4.5
Grimes: Bucs -2.5
I don't feel great about it but Tampa is home.
Curtis: Falcons +2.5
Atlanta's defense is pretty good and will keep things close.
Zeglinski: Buccaneers -2.5
Something tells me Tampa Bay has enough momentum to flummox the Falcons.
D'Andrea: Falcons +2.5
The Bucs blitz a ton but don't generate a huge amount of pressure. Which is gonna leave room for Michael Penix Jr. to escape his fatal flaw.
Nettuno: Falcons +2.5
Spread feels weird after what we saw Atlanta do last week.
Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers
Opening Line: Steelers -6
Grimes: Browns +3.5
Just enough points for me to take Cleveland.
Curtis: Browns +3.5
A divisional game and a Browns team that looks like a sneaky Wild Card contender? Sign me up.
Zeglinski: Steelers -3.5
My goodness, both of these teams are so fake. Give me the team I think is less fake, I guess.
D'Andrea: Browns +3.5
Feels like a Steelers win, but only via late field goal.
Nettuno: Steelers -3.5
I think Pittsburgh's defense can do just enough here.
Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars
Opening Line: Jaguars -4.5
Grimes: Jaguars -9.5
Coming off a bye, the Jags should be able to handle the tanking Colts.
Curtis: Jaguars -9.5
The team NOT having a fire sale is a bona fide contender!
Zeglinski: Jaguars -9.5
The Colts are selling off used parts and the contender Jaguars are coming off a bye. Recipe for a blowout.
D'Andrea: Colts +9.5
Go get that dead cat bounce, Daniel Jones.
Nettuno: Jaguars -9.5
Colts are tanking and Jags are mad coming off a bye.
Baltimore Ravens at Buffalo Bills
Opening Line: Bills -2.5
Grimes: Bills -3.5
I need to see a healthy Lamar Jackson play one game before feeling comfy with Baltimore.
Curtis: Bills -3.5
Let's see how healthy Lamar Jackson is. But even then? The Bills are better and are at home.
Zeglinski: Bills -3.5
The vibes around the Ravens seem rancid. Not that I like the Bills that much, either, but at least their MVP quarterback is healthy.
D'Andrea: Bills -3.5
Lamar Jackson's status is iffy and the Bills are coming off a bye at home.
Nettuno: Bills -3.5
Buffalo is better anyway, but Lamar's injury questions are just the cherry on top here.
Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions
Opening Line: Lions -4.5
Grimes: Vikings +3
The combo of Max Brosmer and JJ McCarthy went 2-0 vs. Detroit last year.
Curtis: Vikings +3
The Lions' defense is bad, Minnesota's is not.
Zeglinski: Lions -4.5
This is where the Vikings start falling back to Earth.
D'Andrea: Lions -3
I think the Vikings defense keeps things close, but the Minnesota offense eventually lets them down.
Nettuno: Lions -3
Detroit can outscore Minnesota's offense by more than a field goal.
Tennessee Titans at Cincinnati Bengals
Opening Line: Bengals -6.5
Grimes: Bengals -10.5
Cincy's passing attack appears to be back in gear after last week's win.
Curtis: Bengals -10.5
That's a lot of points, but Cincy's offense continues to shine (although fantasy folks might be wanting more out of Chase Brown).
Zeglinski: Bengals -10.5
Loving what I'm seeing out of the Bengals lately. Cincinnati is a wagon.
D'Andrea: Bengals -10.5
The AFC North is a no-days-off division, so expect Cincy to make a statement against an overmatched opponent.
Nettuno: Titans +10.5
Tennessee isn't going to win, but it's managed to keep games close against much better opponents.
Los Angeles Chargers at Los Angeles Rams
Opening Line: Rams -4.5
Grimes: Rams -6.5
The Chargers are 0-6 ATS this year but a home-and-away game will be nice.
Curtis: Rams -6.5
I do wonder if things get better for the Chargers after the bye, but I still can't take them yet.
Zeglinski: Rams +6.5
The Chargers should change their status about not wanting to be sellers any day now
D'Andrea: Rams -6.5
At least the Chargers have an easy trip home.
Nettuno: Rams -6.5
I guess the injury-plagued Rams still aren't the worst LA-based team.
New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins
Opening Line: Patriots -7
Grimes: Patriots -7
One of the few spreads I feel comfortable with.
Curtis: Patriots -7
Malik Willis looks a little better post-bye, but he won't be able to cover here.
Zeglinski: Patriots -7
New England is still licking its wounds from a tough loss in Chicago and will take its frustration out on the Dolphins.
D'Andrea: Patriots -7
Miami's bye week magic was nice, but doesn't cover up a deficient roster and a secondary that's been a mess.
Nettuno: Patriots -7
Miami's win streak will unfortunately end at one.
Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos
Opening Line: Broncos -1.5
Grimes: Broncos +1
Is Bo Nix back? I guess we'll find out soon.
Curtis: Chiefs -1
Another tough road game for a team that looked vulnerable. I still think they're better than the Broncos.
Zeglinski: Broncos +1
The Denver defense looks like itself again and is playing at home. That should be enough to take care of an underwhelming Kansas City offense.
D'Andrea: Chiefs -1
The Seahawks showed the way to revert the Chiefs back to their 2025 selves; stop Kenneth Walker III. Whoops, Denver's rush defense ranks 26th when it comes to expected points added (EPA) allowed on the ground.
Nettuno: Chiefs -1
Bounce-back spot for Kansas City against an offense I still don't trust.
Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Commanders (Sunday Night Football)
Opening Line: Eagles -1.5
Grimes: Eagles +5.5
I'll take Washington to win but this is still too many points for a divisional battle.
Curtis: Eagles +5.5
Two mediocre teams in the same division. Gotta take the points
Zeglinski: Commanders -5.5
I don't know about the Commanders' direction, but the Eagles are free eats for anyone right now.
D'Andrea: Eagles +5.5
I am looking forward to the point in the season where we can once more flex games out of primetime.
Nettuno: Eagles +5.5
I doubt Philly has the firepower to win, but I think it can cover this, even in its current state.
Chicago Bears at Seattle Seahawks (Monday Night Football)
Opening Line: Seahawks -4.5
Grimes: Bears +3.5
I know Seattle's defense is great, but I can't believe Ben Johnson is getting more than a field goal.
Curtis: Bears +3.5
A real test of the Bears as potential NFC contenders. This stays within a field goal.
Zeglinski: Bears +3.5
Chicago has the quarterback, the weapons, and the offensive line to potentially make this a really fun game to cap Week 8.
D'Andrea: Bears +3.5
I think Seattle wins, but Chicago goes toe-to-toe with the defending champs.
Nettuno: Bears +3.5
Seattle still seems less complete than this Chicago team to me.
