After dominating the reigning Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks in a 34-17 road win on Monday night, you can understand why the Chicago Bears and their fans are buzzing. What made it especially exciting for Chicago was who was at the center of the convincing win.
On offense, quarterback Caleb Williams was masterful. On top of a calm, cool, and collected overall effort, Williams became the first quarterback to throw for over 200 yards against the Seahawks' vaunted defense this season. He had Seattle's defense off balance all night, which isn't something you see very often. On defense, new blockbuster trade acquisition Jeffery Simmons was exactly as advertised. In fact, the Seahawks' offense, quite literally, couldn't do anything when the game-wrecker
was on the field.
For Bears fans, it's hard to believe that both Williams and Simmons are on the same team. What's funny is that sentiment probably applies to the Bears' coaches, too.
When both Williams and Simmons dapped each other up near the start of the game, footage captured a Bears coach watching the greeting in seeming disbelief. It was as if even he couldn't believe that Williams and Simmons were now teammates, with his incredulous reaction just off to the side summing up exactly how the city of Chicago was feeling about the superstar duo:

If that's how the Williams-Simmons Bears are going to play every week, something tells me this won't be the last time we see any member of the Bears organization losing their mind in a good way.
