The Los Angeles Rams lost an overtime thriller to the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football, and some postgame shenanigans may result in them they losing a key offensive player for next week's game.
Rams left tackle Alaric Jackson punched Bills EDGE Bradley Chubb in an incident that seemingly came out of nowhere. Players were exchanging jerseys before making their way to their respective locker rooms, then Chubb appeared to chirp at Jackson, who was chatting with Bills defensive tackle Deone Walker. Jackson then walked right over to Chubb and socked him in the face, prompting his teammates to hold him back.

With the Rams now 2-3 on the season, they could
be at a disadvantage on the offensive line heading into next week's game against the Arizona Cardinals. Here's what we know about Jackson's status.
Will Alaric Jackson be suspended for postgame punch?
Based on the NFL's precedent, it seems likely. On Oct. 12, 2025, exactly a year prior to the Jackson incident, Detroit Lions safety Brian Branch initiated a fight after a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Branch contacted JuJu Smith-Schuster's helmet and got suspended for one game. So, at least a one-game suspension for Jackson would appear to be in the cards.
Who would Rams start in place of Alaric Jackson?
The Rams would likely start David Quessenberry at left tackle if Jackson is suspended. Quessenberry has 30 career starts over nine NFL seasons.
