On the surface, it appears the biggest storyline of the 2026 NBA offseason may have come to an end. The NBA's investigation into the Los Angeles Clippers for potential salary cap circumvention involving Kawhi Leonard made waves, and ultimately, the league handed down a hefty penalty to the franchise.
While the Clippers lost five first-round draft picks and owner Steve Ballmer was suspended and fined heavily, among other things, Leonard's outcome was a bit different. He is now a member of the Toronto Raptors after being forced to repay $700,000 in restitution for "improper benefits" by the Clippers for his uncle and former business rep, Dennis Robertson, as ESPN's Shams Charania previously reported.
The entire situation came to a head following
a thorough investigation by former ESPN employee Pablo Torre. Torre's findings made headlines, and while speaking with the media, Leonard was asked by Sportsnet's Michael Grange about another recent post from Torre and gave an interesting response.
"No, I don't follow it," Leonard said. "I don't know what to really think of it all, or expect; I'm not entertained by it. Like I said before, the NBA did their job, the PA did their job, and I don't even know what he's talking about."

This comes after Torre posted about a "new investigation" on Tuesday night, which only added fuel to the fire, and the investigator appears to believe it may not be over just yet.
Regardless, it appears Leonard doesn't have much to say on the topic and, as noted above, he said he doesn't know "what he's talking about."
