The Atlanta Dream are fighting for their season in Game 6 of the WNBA Finals, and the opportunity to stave off elimination comes at home. It's not quite the homecourt advantage Atlanta would've hoped for against the red-hot Golden State Valkyries, however.
Game 6 is tipping off Thursday at 12:30 p.m. ET. That's right, a potential series-clinching finals game is a weekday matinee.
A scheduling conflict with the Atlanta Hawks is the reason for the early start. The Dream are playing in the Hawks' 17,000-seat arena as opposed to their usual 3,500-seat venue, and the Hawks tip off against the Cleveland Cavaliers at 8 p.m.
The peculiar start time has plummeted Game 6 ticket prices to as low as $23 on TickPick. To help illustrate how cheap that is, here
are six things more expensive than getting into Valkyries vs. Dream tomorrow night.
1. IMAX ticket for Street Fighter at Atlanta's Regal Atlantic Station: $26.99
2. Papa John's XL The Works pizza with spicy garlic dipping sauce: $23.75
3. Fontaines D.C.'s Dopamine Chamber on vinyl: $25
4. Michael Douglas' memoir One Helluva Ride in hardcover: $29.40
5. Netflix premium ad-free membership: $26.99
6. Atlanta Zoo adult ticket $27.95-$39.95
It's unlikely we'll see WNBA Finals ticket prices like this for quite some time.
