Tyreek Hill has been a massive subject of intrigue this week as rumors have swirled regarding his return to the NFL. The eight-time Pro Bowler posted a video of himself sprinting and doing agility drills in the sand 12 months after his horrific knee injury, and now the question is which team he'll join.
Earlier this week, Hill hinted at a comeback by tweeting, "It’s almost time to get off the couch and get to work." He appeared to double down on the buzz by posting today, "I think I'm ready for some cold weather."
While it's unclear if Hill was simply stating his weather preferences or providing a glimpse into his NFL future, here's a look at four cold-weather cities that could be a fit for his speedy services.
Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings have dealt with quarterback
instability early this season, but both Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison have flashed. Adding Hill into the mix would pose an immense challenge to opposing defenses, as they could no longer afford to double-team Jefferson. Hill could be the difference-maker Jauan Jennings was supposed to be when he came over from the San Francisco 49ers in free agency.
Green Bay Packers
It's been a brutal start to the year for the Green Bay offense, which just lost Jayden Reed to a season-ending neck injury after Dontayvion Wicks and Romeo Doubs departed in free agency. Jordan Love is one of the NFL's most prolific deep passers, so who better to pair him with than Hill. While the offensive line is still a concern, a receiving trio of Christian Watson, Matthew Golden and Hill would be one of the league's most explosive.
New York Jets
The Jets tried to trade for Hill before he landed with the Miami Dolphins in 2022, and now they can acquire him without having to give up a single asset. Geno Smith has been surprisingly excellent through three games, yet he still needs pass-catching reinforcements with Omar Cooper Jr. on injured reserve and Adonai Mitchell battling a finger injury. Hill and Garrett Wilson, with Kenyon Sadiq emerging as a premier seam threat, would be downright dangerous.
Pittsburgh Steelers
DK Metcalf has been an unmitigated disaster this season, from dropped balls to untimely penalties. Hill would provide an immediate upgrade for Aaron Rodgers, who just looked spry against the Cincinnati Bengals after an awful outing against the New England Patriots. Hill probably doesn't have many NFL seasons left in him and Rodgers has said this is his last, so it could be the right fit for a team with a rapidly closing window.
