The 2026-27 NBA season is just days in, and we've already got some off-court heat. The new-look Philadelphia 76ers are now 2-0 after a stunning second-half comeback against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday night, but Jaylen Brown made headlines for his on-court play and one specific off-court decision.
Hours after the team's 29-point comeback win, in which Brown scored 21 points with eight rebounds and four assists, one emoji he posted on X raised a few eyebrows. A clip of Brown's former teammate, Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum, began circulating on social media. The 28-year-old said he was "just as much caught off guard" as the rest of the world by the Celtics' decision to trade Brown to the 76ers this past offseason.
Brown's response? He
called cap, commenting on the video with the baseball cap emoji.
