Philadelphia Eagles tackle Lane Johnson, a future Hall of Famer, said he will likely hang up his pads after the 2026 season.
Speaking with reporters on Saturday, Johnson revealed that this is "going to be, probably, my last year" as his priorities shift off the field for family obligations.
"I love everything about this game and preparing for it, but that's kind of where I'm at in my career" Johnson said.
Johnson missed some training camp time for personal matters, which may underscore why he's likely stepping away from football after the 2026 season.

The 2013 fourth-overall draft pick, 36, has had one of the best careers of a Philadelphia offensive lineman in franchise history; he's won two Super Bowls and made six Pro Bowls and two first-team All-Pro lists.
If his career actually comes to a close after this upcoming season, he can be assured his place in Canton will come in short order. What a loss that would be for the Eagles.
Who would replace him?
There is not a clear replacement on the roster. Third rounder Markel Bell could be the top in-house option right now.
