Defense will take center stage on Thursday night as the Denver Broncos play host to the Seattle Seahawks. But that doesn't mean touchdown bettors won't have good options for tonight's game.
Even with four turnovers in last week's loss to the 49ers, Seattle punched the ball into the end zone twice and scored 29 against what's been a tougher defense than Denver's this year. And the Broncos managed the same number of touchdowns in an underwhelming win over the Chargers.
Both teams will need to play better to come away with a win Thursday, and the following players could have a hand in that. These are my favorite anytime touchdown scorer picks for the game.
Emanuel Wilson (+115)
The Seahawks have absolutely rode Wilson since losing their top two running backs to injuries.
He's carried the ball 41 times over the last two games, and though he hasn't found a ton of room to run, he has punched the ball into the end zone twice. Expect Wilson to score a third straight game, with this likely to be another game they grind it out on the ground.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba (+105)
At this point, JSN is a must-bet to score. Especially when you're getting him at plus-odds -- and when the other team's top corner, Patrick Surtain II, is questionable to play with an injury. Smith-Njigba has scored in all but one game this season, including last week against the 49ers when he went for 102 yards on five catches.
J.K. Dobbins (+175)
I considered Jaylen Waddle (+240) here after Seattle gave up two scores to receivers last week, but the Broncos aren't are the Niners and Bo Nix isn't Brock Purdy. Also, if Denver can help it, I think they'll want to lean on a run-heavy game script. Similar to last week when Dobbins saw 18 carries and punched in his first touchdown of the season.
