The Colorado Parks and Wildlife Department this week shared an image indicating the presence of a stealthy, mid-sized animal that is mostly hidden.
Can you spot and identify the animal in the image provided below?

It’s worth noting that the employee who captured the image could not positively identify the animal at first.
CPW stated via Facebook: "One of our local District Wildlife Managers recently stopped at a trailhead while on patrol. A unique silhouette caught his eye.
"It was obviously an animal and its identity was only revealed once it stood up.” (Revealing image posted below.)
The CPW website describes these animals as "secretive and seldom seen," even though they’re common throughout much of the state.

For those who quickly guessed wildcat,
which kind?
More from CPW: "Bobcats are similar in appearance to their cousin, the lynx. Indeed, they are especially difficult to distinguish in the Southern Rockies, where the local bobcat is large and pale in color.”
