Former Baylor and NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III knows the perfect person to take over its football program: Robert Griffin III.
While speaking with Dan Patrick on Monday about the Baylor football head coaching vacancy after the Dave Aranda firing, Griffin pointed to himself as an ideal candidate to get the Bears back on track after being asked if he was interested in the job opening.
"If Baylor wants to get back to winning and have a university that isn't just respectable on the football field, but [one] the fans can be proud of, they need people who know what it looks like to win at Baylor," Griffin told Patirck about why he's the right person for the job. "I would 100% be interested."
Griffin also named Boise State head coach Spencer Danielson,
UTSA head coach Jeff Traylor and even USC's Lincoln Riley (who is on the hot seat in L.A.) as candidates he'd advocate for in the process... though probably not above himself if he's really interested in returning to Baylor.

Would Griffin would be a great candidate at Baylor? We have no idea. However, in this day and age, you really can't rule anything out. We'll see what happens with RGIII and if college coaching is really in his future.
Who are some other candidates?
Our Christian D'Andrea compiled a great roundup of some names to consider.
