Ole Miss saw its College Football Playoff chances go on life support with Saturday's ugly blowout loss to SEC rival Georgia, and the fans in Oxford didn't waste time showing their displeasure with the game.
In the second quarter, with Ole Miss already down 21-0, cornerback Jaylon Braxton was whistled for a pass interference on third down to extend a Georgia drive that would end in another Bulldogs touchdown. Before Georgia went up 28-0, however, there was a short delay due to fans at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium throwing items on the field.
Trash to match a trash performance, I guess. I don't know if they were upset with the referee or their own team, but it goes without saying that shouldn't happen.
