Michigan might have gotten the lifeline of a lifetime against Western Michigan on Saturday at the Big House, but the latest AP poll was still deeply unconvinced by the Wolverines.
Needing a deeply controversial extra second to take down the Broncos, Michigan has fallen out of the top-25 teams altogether after its first game of 2026.
The team has fallen from No. 16 to out of the top grouping altogether, which is a pretty big vote of skepticism in Michigan despite technically sneaking out of Week 1 with a victory.
Whether or not you think there was still time left on the clock, the AP poll felt destined to drop Michigan out of frame for a deeply uninspired performance to start the season.
