Is O'Charley's going out of business? What we know on the restaurant chain

If you're a fan of the famous restaurant chain O'Charley's, you're probably in for a rude awakening.

The company behind the beloved American/Southern cuisine stop planned to close most all of its locations in Tennessee by Wednesday, according to The Tennessean's Jordan Green.

Only two Tennessee O'Charley's locations, one in Knoxville and one in Alcoa, would seemingly remain in business through the widespread Sept. 9 closing date, according to the Knoxville News Sentinel's Joanna Hayes.

Why all the closures? We don't have a definite reason, but it may just be a classic case of a company closing down operations because of the ever-changing landscape of the restaurant business and the struggles to stay afloat.

All we know is we are going to miss those

chicken tenders and dinner rolls fiercely. What sad news for one of the great restaurant chains.

Will the two remaining O'Charley's be affected by a future closing date?

We're not sure at this time.
