There's a shake-up for the cast of the second season of the upcoming Harry Potter series on HBO. Nicholas Hoult, who had just been announced as Professor Gilderoy Lockhart for Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, had to withdraw from the project due to scheduling conflicts.
Hoult, who plays Lex Luthor in the new James Gunn DC Comics Superman movies, has both the Superman follow up -- Man of Tomorrow -- upcoming, as well as Francis Lee's The Servant alongside Emma Corrin and Colman Domingo.
The series won't be without a seasoned Lockhart, however. According to Deadline, Game of Thrones star Kit Harrington is set to step in for Hoult. This won't be the first time that Harrington has tackled the character as he voiced the over-the-top Defense
Against the Dark Arts professor in last year's Harry Potter: The Full-Cast Audio Editions audiobook production.
The first season of Harry Potter is set to release in December on HBO.
