The Bills were able to escape Monday night's game at SoFi Stadium with a thrilling overtime win over the Rams, but it wasn't all good news for Joe Brady's running back.
Since the start of the 2025 season, Bills running back James Cook has fumbled 11 times, including two fumbles in Monday night's game (one of which was recovered by Los Angeles in overtime). And sure, the Bills were fortunate to hold onto the win, but Brady made it clear on Tuesday that something needs to change with Cook's ball security.
He told reporters in a video call that Cook could face consequences if the fumbling issues continued.

Now, Brady did emphasize that he has confidence in Cook, and that's why he didn't bench the running back after the second fumble. So, it wasn't exactly a moment of a coach putting a player on blast.
But the public mention of consequences will certainly capture Cook's attention. He has four fumbles through five games this season.
That obviously isn't sustainable, and Brady couldn't sugarcoat that — no matter the player.
