Blogger Perez Hilton was reportedly hospitalized on Tuesday after social media "alleged the podcaster was seen harming himself on a TikTok livestream," reports USA TODAY's Anthony Robledo.
The office of the Miami-Dade County Sherriff released a statement in which it said it had gotten "multiple calls regarding an individual who was livestreaming acts of self-harm on social media." That individual had gotten medical attention at a local hospital.
"In many incidents involving a person experiencing a mental health crisis or actively harming themselves," the statement
also read, "deputies prioritize de-escalation by creating time, distance, and opportunities for communication."
