The Kansas City Chiefs likely spent much of the offseason wondering if they would have one of their best pass-catchers available for the start of the 2026 campaign.
Wide receiver Rashee Rice faced a six-game suspension to begin the 2025 season after he pleaded guilty to two felonies stemming from a March 2024 hit-and-run crash in Dallas. He returned in October and played in eight games, totaling 571 yards and five touchdowns on 78 catches.
This offseason, he faced a civil lawsuit in January from his former girlfriend for domestic assault. Then, in May, he was ordered to serve 30 days in Dallas County jail for a probation violation after he tested positive for THC.

As of now, it does not appear Rice will miss any game time due to off-the-field conduct
in 2026. After reviewing the civil case brought against Rice, the NFL announced in April that he will not face discipline from the league.
"First of all, I want to go to the disciplinary part," NFL insider Ian Rapoport said on Aug. 12. "Because for Rashee Rice, he was already disciplined essentially for what he was in jail for. That was a probation violation. He had already been disciplined for that infraction. So, I wouldn't expect, from my understanding, anything new there, disciplinary-wise."

As of now, it seems the fourth-year star will be good to go when Kansas City begins the 2026 campaign against the Denver Broncos.
