The Nebraska men's basketball team wraps up exhibition play on Monday night in Grand Island against Kansas State. A sellout crowd of more than 6,000 is expected.
Nebraska is 0-2 in exhibition play this season. The Huskers lost to Saint Louis 79-74 on Oct. 9 and 72-61 at BYU on Oct. 16. They are 66-9 all-time in exhibition games dating back to the 1966-67 season.
Both schools' student radio stations will team up to honor Greg Sharpe, who called games at both schools during his career. Sharpe was the voice of the Wildcats from 1996 to 2002 before coming to Lincoln from 2007 until his death in 2025.
The Huskers return seven players from a squad that won a school-record 28 games last season. This year's roster adds six Division I transfers and two
freshmen.
Nebraska officially opens the 2026-27 season on Monday, Nov. 2, when the Huskers welcome Le Moyne to Pinnacle Bank Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT and can be seen on B1G+.
