The No.1-ranked Nebraska volleyball team will host FGCU in the Ameritas Players Challenge. This is the first time the Huskers and Eagles have met.
The Huskers are ranked No. 1 in the latest AVCA Coaches Poll, released Sept. 14. This marks Nebraska’s 127th week at No. 1 in the AVCA Coaches Poll, the most of any program in the nation.
Nebraska set a program record for the largest indoor home attendance after 15,405 fans saw the Huskers’ sweep of No. 20 Creighton at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Wednesday night. Wednesday’s match was the eighth home match in program history with at least 11,000 fans.
Sophomore middle blocker Manaia Ogbechie was named the Big Ten Player of the Week on Monday. In the three matches, Ogbechie totaled 33 kills while hitting .547
and adding 12 blocks.
