Nebraska extended an offer to class of 2028 offensive tackle Vincent Shields. He made the announcement on social media.
Shields is the 246th overall player in the 2028 class, the 28th overall player at his position, and the 16th overall player in his class from the state of Georgia, according to theRivals Industry Rankings. He is a four-star recruit.
Shields also has ample offers to this point. SMU, UCLA,Arizona State, Alabama, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, and Ole Miss are among the teams that have extended offers his way. He measures in at 6-foot-6, 275 pounds.
The Huskers are looking to build out the offensive line for the future. They did that in the 2027 class, and now they are looking to secure prospects for 2028.
Shields is a player whose recruitment
is accelerating rapidly, and the Huskers were smart to jump in when they did. It will be interesting to see how involved they get overall.
