Nebraska football extended an offer to 2028 four-star linebacker Brodie Metzger earlier this week. He made the announcement on social media.

Metzger is the 258th overall player in the 2028 class, the 21st overall linebacker, and the top player in his class from the state of Minnesota, according to theRivals Industry Rankings. He measures at six-foot-four and 195 pounds.

Several Midwest schools are heavily recruiting the linebacker. This includes Kansas State, Iowa State, Minnesota, and Iowa. He most recently visited Kansas State on September 5.

The Huskers currently have no commitments in the 2028 class. However, they are building a solid target board for this cycle. A strong season this fall could lead to greater success and a fun recruitment

over the next couple of months recruiting.

This one will definitely be worth monitoring. The Huskers are battling neighboring programs, and this recruitment doesn’t feel impossible to break through. This could set up a contested recruitment down the road.
