Nebraska volleyball took care of business against UNLV on Saturday night. They opened the regular season with a dominant sweep (25-18, 25-15, 25-16).
This game was all about offense for the Huskers in this one. They had a .337 hitting percentage with 42 kills on 83 attacks. In the meantime, they were able to hold the Rebels to a .054 hitting percentage. This was just another example of the Huskers stifling their opponents.
Key contributors stepped up on Saturday night. Outside hitter Harper Murray had 11 kills, which led the team. Andi Jackson had eight kills on just 10 attacks, showcasing her efficiency. Bergen Reilly had a tremendous game, with 32 assists and 10 digs on the evening.
One of the highlights of the evening was pregame, when coach
Dani Busboom Kelly and outside hitter Harper Murray interacted with Tom Brady and his family courtside. This is another example of how much the game and its players have grown in the last several years.
