Nebraska forward Pryce Sandfort was named to the Julius Erving Award Watch List on Wednesday. The sharpshooter was selected as one of 20 candidates for the honor, which is presented by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
The award is in its 13th year and honors the top small forward in Division I men’s college basketball. Sandfort has received several other preseason accolades, including third-team All-America honors.
The senior will look to build on a fantastic season last year. He averaged 18.1 points per game on 48% shooting. He also had 4.9 rebounds per game. His three-point shooting last season was historic.
Sandfort also made 129 three-pointers, breaking the Huskers' single-season record. He was a key part of the program’s offense last
year and should play a similar role in the 2026-27 campaign.
The Huskers begin the season on Monday, November 2, when they take on Le Moyne. Tip-off is at 7:00 p.m. CT.
