Nebraska is coming off a match against Missouri at Wrigley Field that was suspended in the first set due to court conditions. New Mexico defeated in-state rival New Mexico State in four sets.
This is the ninth all-time meeting between the two programs, as the Huskers lead the series, 6-2. Nebraska won the last match 3-1 in 2018.
Nebraska was voted the favorite in the 2026 Big Ten Preseason Poll after a vote by the league’s 18 head coaches in July. New Mexico was picked to finish last in the Mountain West Conference.
The Huskers
have been one of the most dominant home teams in the entire country over the last several seasons. Nebraska has won 47 regular-season home matches in a row at the Bob Devaney SportsCenter, going back to the start of the 2023 season.
