Nebraska basketball forward Pryce Sandfort was named to the Naismith Award Watch List. This was announced by the program on its official website. This award is presented to the top player in college basketball.
Sandfort averaged 18.1 points per game last season, and he did so efficiently. He shot 48% and averaged 4.9 rebounds per game. The playmaker averaged 3.7 three-pointers per game and shot 41.6 from beyond the arc. He fully established himself as one of the best three-point shooters in college basketball.
He also played at a high level when the lights were brightest. He averaged 21 points per game in the Huskers' Sweet 16 run, including 25 points in the final game against Iowa.
Now, he will look to bring that same impact to a Huskers team
that will aim to make a similar run again. He is undoubtedly one of the best players in college basketball, and he will have a chance to improve his NBA draft stock.
