Nebraska football offered class of 2028 four-star offensive lineman Vincent Shields on Friday. Now, he is already planning a visit to Lincoln for the fall. Shields is the 203rd overall player in the 2028 class, the 23rd overall offensive tackle, and the 12th overall player in his class from the state of California according to the Rivals industry Rankings. He measures in at six-foot-six, 275 pounds and hails from Menifee, Cali.
The Huskers' offensive line has been a focus area for offensive line coach Geep Wade. Recruiting has particularly increased in this
area, as Wade looks to remake the offensive line room. Shields would bring another blue-chip player into the fold and give the Huskers ample depth at the tackle position.
There is still quite a way to go in this recruitment. However, landing a fall visit would certainly be a step in the right direction.
