Nebraska basketball forward Pryce Sandfort was named to the preseason All-Big Ten team. The announcement was made on Monday afternoon.
The forward was a major piece of the success of the program last season. He averaged 18.1 points and 4.9 rebounds per game. He shot 129 three-point shots, which broke the Huskers' single-season record. That number was also the second-highest total in Big Ten history. The sharpshooter was a go-to player for the program, having 15 games of at least 20 points.
Sandfort becomes the fourth Huskers player to be named to the preseason All-Big Ten team. Keisei Tominaga was the last player to be given the honor back in 2023.
Sandfort was a massive piece for the Huskers last year, and his shooting ability kept the program
afloat in several key games. It would be reasonable to expect the same this year, in what should be a fun season.
