Nebraska volleyball announced the return of a special theme for its upcoming Big Ten match. The Huskers revealed they are bringing back the Blackout at the Bob for their clash with Wisconsin next Saturday night.
Blackout at the Bob is a blackout match at the John Cook Arena in the Bob Devaney Sports Center with fans and players donning black for the matchup. Nebraska battled Penn State in last year's Blackout at the Bob, where it swept the Nittany Lions to capture its third straight Big Ten Championship.
Now, the Huskers unveil this year's Blackout at the Bob is to be held for their rivalry matchup with No. 6 Wisconsin. Nebraska has won its last four matchups with Wisconsin, including a sweep last Halloween in Madison in Dani Busboom Kelly's first
clash with the Badgers as the Huskers' head coach.
Nebraska is 15-0 on the season, with only 13 matches remaining before the Big Ten Tournament. Wisconsin stands at 9-4, with losses coming to some of the top teams in the nation: Kentucky, Stanford, Pitt and Texas. The Badgers are undefeated in Big Ten play, getting wins over Oregon, Purdue and Indiana.
Nebraska and Wisconsin meet Saturday, Oct. 10. The first serve is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT on Fox.
