Nebraska football offensive tackle Gunnar Gottula praised Jamal Rule after the running back had another stellar game in last Saturday’s 34-7 win over North Dakota.
The freshman picked up his second 100-yard rushing game of the season. He had 15 carries for 119 yards and two touchdowns. His longest run was 55 yards. He averaged 7.9 yards per carry and was able to help stabilize the Huskers' rushing attack.,
Overall, the offense played well. That being said, Gottula liked what he saw from his teammate, as the Huskers finished the nonconference slate3-0 and Big Ten play looming.

The running back made history on Saturday night in addition to his stellar performance. Rule is the first freshman running back with multiple 100-yard games in a season since David Horne in 2002. There is no doubt that the running back has something special going at the moment. It will be interesting to see if that continues during conference play.
