Nebraska soccer (2-2-4) traveled out east to face No. 25 Iowa (5-2-2) on Sunday afternoon. The Huskers once again battled defensively and, for the second time in their last three games, managed a 0-0 draw.
Nebraska also challenged the Hawkeyes offensively, outshooting them 19-13 overall and 7-5 on goal. But both teams stood tall in the net. Iowa's Braelynn Galt finished the day with eight saves, five in the second half. Avery Gillahan earned six saves, four coming in the second half.
Nathalie Lewis fired three shots, all on goal, in the tie. Ava Makovicka delivered a match-high four shots, one on goal. Carson Bohonek finished the day with three shots, one on goal.
The Huskers return home for their next match. Nebraska welcomes Washington to Lincoln
next Sunday afternoon. The match is set for 1:05 p.m. CT on B1G+.
