Nebraska soccer (3-3-5) closed out its weekend trip to Michigan with a Sunday showdown against the Wolverines (4-3-3). The Huskers' final got back in the win column as they beat Michigan 1-0 to snap a five-game skid.
Nebraska pulled out the win despite being limited on offense through the day. The Huskers finished with just five total shots with only two on goal. Michigan, meanwhile, brought the pressure, totaling 14 shots with nine on goal.
But Reese Borer made her lone shot count, scoring in the 88th minute to give Nebraska the lead and the eventual win. This was Borer's first goal of the season and the second goal in her career. Karli Williams delivered the only other shot on goal for the Huskers.
Avery Gillahan faced down the Wolverines' offense
in the net and produced her first complete shutout win of the season. She finished with six saves on the day.
The Huskers return home for their next match. Nebraska plays host to Wisconsin on Sunday afternoon. The match is set for 12:35 p.m. CT on B1G+.
