A bold prediction for the Indianapolis Colts' Week 2 matchup with the Chiefs centers around cornerback Justin Walley. However, it's not a positive prediction that is being made.
With Charvarius Ward and Sauce Gardner on the outside, ESPN's Seth Walder is predicting that Patrick Mahomes targets Walley heavily and finds success doing so.
"Mahomes will complete 12 passes to players aligned in the slot, something the Chiefs accomplished only once last season," Walder wrote. "I'm a pretty big believer in Colts CBs Sauce Gardner and Charvarius Ward. So if they take care of the outside receivers, Mahomes could look inside, be it to Travis Kelce, Rice or someone else."
Walley is coming off a tough Week 1 outing against the Baltimore Ravens. According to PFF,
Walley gave up five receptions on five targets in that game for 93 yards, including a long of 49 yards.
Defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo, however, has maintained his confidence in Walley.

Communication issues were at the root of many problems that the Colts' defense experienced in Week 1. To combat that, linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither will be wearing the green dot in Week 2.
