Indianapolis Colts' special teams coordinator Brian Mason sustained an injury on the final play of Thursday's preseason game in New England.
A Colts player and a Patriots player were locked as they blocked each other and went flying onto the Colts' sideline, where Mason was knocked over. He was immediately in significant pain.
According to the Indy Star's Joel Erickson, head coach Shane Steichen said that Mason is having his knee evaluated.

The Athletic's James Boydreported that
Mason is traveling back to Indianapolis with the team and "the Colts hope to find out more tomorrow/in the coming days."
What this means for Mason in the immediate future or the Colts' special teams unit, for that matter, still remains to be seen.
